In fact, I even remember your butt shaking...my mom used to comment on it. I have many of the same fond feelings and emotions tied to baseball. My dad both taught me to play and love the Game. I live and breath Rangers, and like you, I don't have paraphernalia displayed exhibiting my love for the team.
My life was affected on that day as well. I could not get poor Cooper off my mind. I imagined the dad being me. I have a four year old son that loves to watch the Rangers with me. All I could think about was the dad's thoughtfulness and that poor boy, and how easy that could have been me. I still think about them. I hope he will not curse the game that we love, but embrace it.

Mike IveyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1876463227846085976.post-61660099726525379392011-07-28T21:21:18.130-05:002011-07-28T21:21:18.130-05:00I loved Underoos!! I think not!” After all, I was too young to be a grandmother! It didn’t take long for me to change my mind. I was thrilled to be a grandmother. I was not, however, going to be called “Grandma”. After you were born, I was given the name “Grams” which evolved into “Grammy”, a name I cherish very much.

Your dad was my first child, my first son, my first in many experiences as a parent. He was my first to become a teenager and then an adult. You are my first grandchild - his first child, his first teenager. The transformation from childhood to adulthood can be difficult and sometimes painful. You have a wonderful (and beautiful!) head on your shoulders and equally wonderful parents to help you through the journey. Learn from the mistakes and cherish the memories. On occasion, give your dad a little grief. When he starts to correct you, wink at him and say, “That one’s for Grammy!”Janicehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10172881383271991149noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1876463227846085976.post-14853614130377620882011-04-08T15:35:54.136-05:002011-04-08T15:35:54.136-05:00HILARIOUS!!!!! Ashley - you know...Just a little bit, Keaton... :p

Ashley - you know, I was wondering how our lives would play out if indeed Traci did start playing. Nothing would ever get done. The voice of reason would be gone. Life as we know it would totally change. Her Living Room Herohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14397663793926338195noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1876463227846085976.post-81761289589169170232011-03-07T10:07:12.565-06:002011-03-07T10:07:12.565-06:00Seems like the "Bird-Flu" is still going...Seems like the "Bird-Flu" is still going around...

Syptoms:
An agonizing pain...caused by the shot to your ego should the birds win..

A fever...caused by the sweating and anticipation of play

Feeling Weak or Overconfident...caused by bird and pig dominance over the "game" you thought you had -or- caused by that "I'll-beat-this, I-don't-need-any-help" attitude (ya know, the same attitude you get when you're actually sick and you don't want to succumb to the trip to the doctor's office)

Addiction... caused by a NEED to play the game. A NEED to get that fix of beating those angry, no good exuse for feathers and over-eating, fat pigs to move on to the next level.

Cure... still in the research phases.

Recommendations:

Keeping Traci far away from the game. Should she succumb to its evil forces, she too will be swept away to that black hole of addiction, no longer free to socialization, family, television, and evil sales people. There should be at least one person in the house who should be able to snatch the IPad from the talons of all those who play, and upon the moaning and threats of stealing it back, have that scary voice that utters those 5 famous words, "Do you feel lucky, punk?," at which point everyone gives up for fear of not making it to their next birthday and goes on about their normal lives.... Again, just a recommendation...Ashley Casalininoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1876463227846085976.post-54305120722077430922011-03-06T19:26:08.606-06:002011-03-06T19:26:08.606-06:00goodness seems like your in some deep doo doo coac...goodness seems like your in some deep doo doo coachh(:keatonnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1876463227846085976.post-26269610352289737872011-01-18T14:37:03.116-06:002011-01-18T14:37:03.116-06:00Sounds like you need a good dose of music and crea...Sounds like you need a good dose of music and creative writing (other than the blog) that you can get lost in again. That seemed to be your "escape," at least when I got to chat with you...

As for the Spanish classes... I agree. Landscape Spanish would be great. Hell, instead of Spanish 1, Spanish 2, etc., they should just offer you what would be most beneficial - Landscape Spanish, Restaurant Spanish, Spanglish, Mexican Spanish, Proper Spanish, etc..

With the Mustang - Bryan is always willing to help with cars. It's kinda what he does for a living :)

For sleep - find something relaxing to do before bed. Watch that first 30 mins (if you can make it that long) of a Netflix movie until your eyes are heavy, drink hot tea, take a minute to play with your kids, write one last blog, fall victim to a medically induced coma via Melatonin, whatever floats your boat. Let yourself destress, then dream of boxers in class...

You still have a few years before your daughter will be whisked away by her knight in shining armor wrapped in horsepower. Take Susan's advice - prioritize. Family numero uno (that's number one haha), then school, then the car. Work is just redundant. Been there, done that. You could do that with a pirate patch over one eye and a hook for a hand. Easy.

Lastly, as for a SuperHero Name... Captain Underpants... keeps things light and funny.
